TWISTED COPPER CABLE
Technical description
The round red copper braid is a high-performance flexible conductor made of twisted copper cable. It is mainly used to provide an electrical connection between two elements of a power circuit while absorbing mechanical stresses (vibrations, movements, expansion).
Characteristics
- Conductive material: red copper Cu-ETP (UNI EN 13602), wire Ø 0.20 mm.
- Structure: twisted bare copper cable.
- Cross-section: 150 mm².
- Length: 1100 mm.
- Ends: tinned copper tube cable lugs.
- Insulation: black heat-shrinkable sheath on joints.
Variations
- Rigid conductor cross-sections: 10 mm² → 185 mm²
- Flexible conductor cross-sections: 22 mm² to 185 mm²
- Different drilling diameters: 3/8, 1/2, 9/16, 5/8, 3/4, etc.
- Variable lengths (e.g. 75 mm, 79 mm, 87 mm)
Applications
- Ground connections
- Battery/converter connections
- High-intensity jumpers on railway vehicles
- Connections subject to vibration or movement
