"Wheel profile" is the main module for carriage axle measurements using the Calipri-Wheel; This module enables the complete section of a wheel profile to be measured in a few seconds.

 

Apart from the essential flange measurements (height, width, qR distance), the equipment also detects the width of the wheel, the profile groove wear and the rolling fold. The easily adaptable measurement methods enable the measurement of practically all wheel widths and carriage running wheel profile forms.

 

During a measurement, the user manually guides the sensor on the wheel, without having to position it or precisely orient it with respect to the wheel.

 

The acoustic signals from the Calipri-Wheel and a graphical display help even inexperienced users to obtain reproducible results quickly.

 

Computer monitoring of the measurement values immediately verifies whether it is possible to continue to use the wheel profile measured. All of the profile and measured data are saved for later analysis.
