Self-locking nuts are not prone to wear since there is no direct contact with the friction surfaces and they can be re-used many times.

 

This nut has excellent resistance to vibrations, which act to increase the self-locking device by increasing the contraction of the spring and increasing the locking force of each of the segments of the nut collar on the screw threads. Furthermore, they can withstand variations between -50 °C and + 200 °C.
